Testimonials

Amazing experience with Sowena Cornwall for my first ever retreat! Had a lovely day and came home feeling relaxed, spoilt and well looked after. The host couldn’t be more accommodating, and also thoroughly enjoyed the events which included fantastic instructors. It was a varied experience, i came home with a keepsake i will have for years to come and discovered a creative side I didn’t know I had. Loved the location the whole experience was excellent value for money (priceless memories). We were treated to homemade goodies and well supplied with refreshments 😋 Highly recommended I’m really looking forward to the next event.

My first day retreat through Sowena was great, just what I needed. Good for the mind, body & soul.

I felt so relaxed during the mindfulness session with the breathing techniques, then the yoga session was great to stretch out & release tension, the breath work session was also very calming then finally the sound bath allowed me to escape & switch off from my brain & constant thoughts. overall a lovely day I greatly benefited from.

Laura

Absolutely amazing! So well organised with lots of thoughtful touches. Betty is an outstanding host who makes everyone feel welcome and included in her retreats. The classes are great and the whole experience is one of relaxation and fun. Thanks Betty, I will be back!

Incredible retreats organised to soothe and restore. The September event was out of this world perfect! Betty creates these amazing retreats with a realistic budget in mind to make wellness accessible to everyone. Couldn’t be prouder.

Betty has done such a wonderful job to create beautiful, welcoming retreats at an affordable price. The location of our day retreat was absolutely breath taking and there were just so many thoughtful details throughout the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sowena to anyone looking for soul-nourishing day of self-care.

Highly recommended treating yourself to a retreat organised by Sowena. I had my first experience back in September and what a beautiful chilled day I had.

Felt so relaxed enjoyed the whole day, meeting new people eating amazing cakes , but to top this retreat off I got to experience it in an amazing location it was the perfect location for a retreat. listening to the birds singing the fresh air blowing past my face. I could have fallen to sleep. Also great value I will definitely be attending another retreat in the future.

Last summer I attended Betty’s pilot session retreat. We had a wonderful summer day that enabled us to do mindfulness, yoga, deep breathing and a sound bath outdoors. Nothing was too much for Betty. Drinks and food on offer was healthy and yummy. The organisation was smooth and Betty had thought of everything. I later on organised one of my wellbeing retreat with her help and there again Betty was wonderful. She allowed me to create a wonderful day that puts self-care a priority in a world that moves too fast so having a time to slow down is something to treasure. I look forward to run sessions and take part in others in the near future. I love these retreats and the idea they stay affordable is priceless.

Went to a wellness day back in September. There was a wonderful cake table, with vegan and gluten free options, teas, coffee and water. There was even breakfast options such as cereal and fruit. The activities were so well organised, I loved the yoga and the breath work classes. This is such a great and affordable option for wellness and relaxation, it gave me the push I needed to look into breath work more for myself.

Well, going on a Sowena Retreat was just a lovely experience – and that started from the enquiry/booking stage , the event itself and the follow through. I’d not heard of Sowena before but the retreat day sounded just wonderful – and affordable (so many aren’t!). A lovely balance of activities and the organiser created the most lovely atmosphere and environment. Other attendees were welcoming and we were soon chatting like old friends – though no pressure if you wanted to be ‘quiet’. The organiser’s passion for wellbeing and her generous spirit for making it available so reasonably is great credit to her. The venues are also chosen with love and care to ‘add’ to the day. Thank you.

Beautiful set up and wonderful experiences. I enjoyed each aspect of the retreat. Betty creates such a great energy and feel at each different location, plus its at such an affordable rate. It makes it super accessible. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the future. Excited to attend more retreats and meet other like minded souls.

Michaela

The retreat was beautifully curated with just the perfect balance of rest, reflection, information and activities. The atmosphere was so welcoming, warm and comforting. The snacks were also delicious! It was. The nicest retreat day I’ve ever had and I felt so grateful to be able to afford the experience. A must for any tired woman needing a little self love and the feeling of being in community with other women. Thank you so much to Betty and everyone involved.

My first Sowena wellness event was a great experience. From mindfulness sessions with Jon, Yoga by the incredible Sarah, the breathwork session and finally the sound bath session left me relaxed and feeling amazing. Finally, Betty as the host made things run like clockwork – not to mention the chocolate brownies, tea and venue, which were all great. Looking forward to my next wellbeing session.
