A full day of Sowena style self care with a focus on release, reflection, and gentle restoration.
As we step into the Autumn Equinox, we honour the balance between light and dark/day and night.
This retreat invites you to slow down, ground yourself in the nature of Sowena Cornwall, and prepare the body and mind for the transition apres Summer.
- 10am: Welcome Circle
- Movement: A slow mindful movement yoga session designed to mirror the season’s transition led by Jo. Explore gentle stretches and intuitive movement to release tension, allowing the body to settle and align with the earth.
- Guided Gratitude Meditation: Acknowledging the fruits of your labour over summer, focus on the themes of the equinox, equilibrium and gratitude for what you have cultivated and permission to start to slow down.
- Journaling and Card Pulling: A reflective space supported by an oracle card pull to offer intuitive guidance.
- 12.30pm: Lunch Break: Please bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the beauty of the Sowena landscape, allowing time to connect with other participants or enjoy quiet contemplation in a little pocket of nature on the land.
- Create your own smudge stick: A creative session led by Nikki inspired by the Autumn Equinox. Gather herbs to create your own smudge stick to cleanse your space at home, grounding the day’s intentions into something you can carry off the land into your own life.
- Guided Drum Journey & Release Ritual: Leaning deeper into what you are open to receive and release as the wheel turns into the next season.
- Closing Sharing Circle: Hold space for one another as you reflect on the day.
Gluten-Free and Vegan Treats: Enjoy treats from local bakery BB’s, catering to all dietary preferences all of the time. No need to be limited to just one option if you are a Coeliac, GF or Vegan, you can have it all!
Bottomless Speciality Teas: Enjoy an endless selection of 12 Twinings speciality teas throughout the day.
What to Bring:
- Comfy, warm clothes and waterproof shoes appropriate for farmland.
- A bottle of water

This retreat offers plenty of chances for self reflection and relaxation. Everything is invitational. If at any point you feel called to sit in the stone circle, or rest with the trees, you must do so.
